French Windows / Doors

In contrast to ordinary windows, which open or close by sliding or folding, French windows can be opened both inward and outward. It is made up of two panels, which are hinged to the framework in the corners. The panels have grips that make it easier to lock and unlock the window. French windows and doors are often outward-opening due to convenience.

A French window has two panels with several sashes, or portions. The vertical size of the window determines how many of these sashes are present.
